Our caregivers are professionally trained to be Certified Dementia Caregivers. Gina Germany is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and instructs the caregivers to approach a person with dementia with Teepa Snow’s Positive Physical Approach to Brain Change and Hand- under-Hand technique. Compassion and understanding, along with this training, makes our caregivers the best in Lower Alabama.

Our caregivers are totally committed to caring for seniors.  They are highly qualified and carefully selected individuals who are personally and thoroughly screened, bonded and insured. Most importantly, our caregivers are dependable and extraordinarily caring of others.

However, in addition to their previous experience, our caregivers receive continuous training.  This training includes a specialized curriculum exclusive to Touching Hearts Senior Care, assuring quality and caring in-home assistance for seniors. CERTIFIED DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS

In addition to their previous experience and studies in health care, our caregivers receive extensive and continuous training to become a Certified Dementia Caregiver. This training is exclusive to Touching Hearts Senior Care caregivers and we are the only company in the state of Alabama to offer this certification and education.

The Certified Dementia Caregiver Training includes the following 12 components along with the Positive Approach to Care training created by renowned Dementia Expert Teepa Snow. This training is presented by Gina Germany, who is a Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Dementia Practitioner, and a Certified PAC trainer.
